One More Question: Red Sox NE Mags

I have finally found a couple sets of tickets to buy...

I have asked about standing room before, but is the Bud Roof Deck SRO area still a good view, of the entire park? I am more interested in giving my fiance the ambiance, etc of Fenway then seeing Man Ram's dreads from three feet away...

I can also get some tickets in section 20, about row 15 (behind home plate, but also behind the netting and grandstand overhang)...

both sets about the same price....

suggestions from mags who go to fenway...pulling the trigger today, in either event...

The roof deck is actually in right field, not over the wall in left. So you won't get a look at Manuel's dreads, more likely J.D. Drew's bad hammy.

I've never sat up there but the seats are popular and it seems like it would be a pretty good view of balls put into play (and also nice and breezy). You won't be able to see much in the way of pitching, though, and I can imagine it being a little easier to zone out up there. You'll probably feel more into the game if you sit further down, but it won't be quite as comfortable.

Get the deck seats, and walk around the park at some point. You run the risk sitting high up in the grandstand of not seeing balls hit to the outfield or home runs.

Fenway is small, as long as you aren;t in the last rows of the bleachers or behind a pole, you'll have a great view.

sweet....that is some good advice....I may get the sro bud seats. I guess my only other question is if there are actually "assigned" standing spots like on the monsta...

I don't want to have to push through people just to see a few hits...

I'm pretty sure that row 15 is actually the last row in the infield grandstand. The Bud roof deck is pretty nice because it isn't as crowded, and there's a bar up there, bathrooms, etc. However, you're over 300 feet from home plate. There really aren't many good seats at Fenway. I guess it depends on whether you are there to enjoy being outside on a nice night or if you really want to watch every pitch. If they're the same price, I would probably take the infield grandstand seats. You can still walk around the park, but you won't be forced to stand for 3 hours straight. Or I guess you could get the Bud seats and sneak into roof box seats. They've increased security on the roof now that it's the "State Street Pavilion" but you may still be able to get from the Bud deck to the right field roof seats without hassle.
