ISO MTB riding partners in Seattle area

I'm interested in possibly finding some folks who might be willing to drag my old carcass along on a few weekday morning-ish rides within spitting distance of Seattle. I've been to a few of the local spots but literally don't have anyone to ride with. I know, poor me.

Me: male, late 40's, not super shape but OK. I huff and puff a bit on climbs. I tend to ride like I ski. I don't mind a challenge (unless it's a climb that requires 20yr old legs) but prefer to remain earthbound. I have decent (not fabulous) equipment, decent (not exceptional) skills and an old Suburban so am willing to participate in the transportation. I'd love to do some light downhilling, but my ride isn't up to hard core DH stuff (nor probably, am I) and I have no idea where that might be found.

My schedule is reasonably flexible as long as I can plan ahead a little bit so the impact on family members is not too great. My preference would be to ride in the morning and get home in time to do some work in the afternoon.

I like to think I'm reasonably good company most of the time and am just kinda anxious to get out there a little bit. Need some excercise. Ping me.

    Thanks.

i could be your ride buddy. damn that sounds nasty...

really tho, i can swing AM rides and live in seattle. where do you like to ride?

i'm going to be a bit all over the place over the next few weeks but shoot me a PM and we'll try to set up a ride.

also squirrel, graydon and myself (and PNW brit is supposed to join one of these days) try to ride tiger once a week after work hours. it doesn't always happen, not everybody always shows, but we try. you are more than welcome to join in the fun one of these evenings. i'll try to keep you in the loop on those rides too.

No kidding. Yesterday I took the bus to Issaquah and no one showed, so I rode home. Fuck you guys.

You nailed it. Turns out Summit West was still holding snow from the Grande Big Air Open, 22 feet of the sickest slush in da PNDub.
