    Since Everyone is Talkin' TV...

Monday nights are the only nights I consistently turn on the tube.

It's all about The Newsroom. Anyone else watch this? CBC for us Canucks and I believe it's also shown on Showcase.

It's essentially Larry Sanders but, well, in a Newsroom. Cynical to say the least, with a bit of artsy-fartsy thrown in (particularly in the season closers).

Sick and ashamed and happy (and the ski season is still on, right?),

I am so out of the water cooler conversations. NHL Center Ice package + working with all females.

them: did you see [insert random reality TV show here] last night?

them: blah, blah, blah [random reality TV show], blah, blah, blah

them: blah, blah, blah. Did you watch [random reality TV show] last night, road trip?

me: er, there was a great Flames vs. Oilers game last night...

[road trip quietly walks back to desk]

Once in a while but find it a bit over the top on how shallow he is. Like the one where it goes back and forth on who's $50 bucks was on the floor in the food court and ended up the lower guy had to pay ~$1000 to get his job back.

I don't, but I'll have to try to watch it. I usually only watch CBC for sports, but I'm probably missing out on some fine Canadian TV. If it is anything like the Larry Sanders show it sounds good to me!

Speaking of the CBC, I keep seeing these commercials for "The Greatest Canadian." Come on, how can Wayne Gretzky not win?

The only Canadian show I've seen lately is a DVD of the Show Case series TRAILER PARK BOYS. That show rules. Never trust a man without a shirt! Bubbles! the dude who always carries his drink with him.
    Brilliant entertainment.

    Agreed, awesome show.

The show I've recently started watching a lot of is The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. Stephen Colbert is possibly the funniest man on TV (next to Dave Chappelle).
Yep, seen this before. Crazy liquor & cheeseburger party got out of control.

Have you ever seen the show Strangers with Candy? It was on Comedy Central a few years ago. The stars are Amy Sedaris, Stephen Colbert and a couple others. Very funny show! It's available on DVD now.

I loved Strangers with Candy! Btw...have you read Amy Sidarhis' brother's book "Naked?" Hilarious! Funny bone runs in that family.

I also liked Reno 911. It was very stupid, but I thoroughly enjoyed watching it (of course). My husband went to a focus group on it before it debuted, and he told them they should focused less on the characters and more on the situational stuff like the freakazoids they would pull over. I guess it is off the air now...

I've read a few of his books: Naked and Barrel Fever come to mind. He's hilarious.
