Fuck the OC soap opera. Sopranos & Deadwood are better, hands down.

Tony's more of a businessman than a killer, which is a cool part of the show -- new age mob biz.

I think that is the most interesting part of the show. For 55 minutes of every show, it appears that these people are living normal, upper middle-class lives. Then, kapow, there is a short, ultra-violent, ultra-realistic scene that shows us the true nature of Tony and his cronies.

The way they sent Feech back to prison was classic.

Dumb question: what's to keep Feetch from figuring out what happened and then flipping on the family while in the joint?

What's he gonna tell the Feds that they don't already know? He's been in the slam for like twenty years.

Did you watch the previews? Looks like Christopher's heading for a shotgun divorce.

    Theory of the week:

Christopher is gonna screw up and get killed/get somebody killed/etc. Tony's gonna back him and piss everybody off. While Tony's busy watching his ass and cleaning up the Christopher mess, Furio's gonna come outta nowhere and whack him.

70% chance Tony dies this season.
Remind me. We'll send him a red cap and a Speedo.

And who would be the center point of the show next season? No way Tony gets it... and if he does (perhaps next season)... it won't be Furio.

Is there gonna be a next season? I though Gandolfini was done.

Only way Tony gets whacked is if it's the final season. I keep wondering what happened to the Russians, they may come back into the picture. A Furio return is likely too.

But this week, mark my words, Christafaa is gonna find out his wife (the hell's her name, I'm having a brainfart here?) has been snitching and he whacks her.

Yes. Chase said so on NPR.

I was thinking today about that cool trick he played with our heads in this episode. We think Tony is going to be self conscious about everyone laughing at his bad jokes, but instead that's how Tony decides to go after Feetch. Always a suprise.

    Furio is dead.

    Tony to Carmela episode 1:

" Certain people see him, he's a dead man."

Last scene of the last show of the last season; Tony somewhere among the ducks as they return, dead or alive.

Cocaine, a near-miss between Tony and Adriana, Tony back in Dr. Melfi's office, Christopher back to the bottle, rumors of blow-jobs, domestic violence, a car accident, AND diarrhea.

    GREAT TV.

Agreed. Although I'm still getting more enjoyment out of Deadwood. Maybe the old west time period just interests me more than east coast mob problems

Last week it was 2 characters gone - this week it's 2 of Tony's SUVs. So what's he gonna replace the Escalade with? Definitly not a Hummer. Maybe he'll even start driving a car. The suspense builds...

BOLD PREDICTION: He's going to start driving A.J.'s X-Terra.

Not that this has any bearing on the future of the show.

Deadwood is suprisingly good as well... best HBO back-to-back Sunday night line-up yet. Plus you add in Curb Your Enthusiasm and I feel genuinely slothish after 2.5 hours on the couch.

Good stuff on last night, hadn't caught it in awhile, but fell right into it.
Chris was a jackass, just about caught one too.

Interested to see what happens to Steve Buchimi's character next week.

Deadwoods pretty good, still can't understand Calamity Jane, god-damn marble-mouth. I haven't figured out the whole cast yet, I only caught the last two. The partners that want to be the harware store, was the mean one a gunfighter? Who is he?

I'm partial to the FBI wisecrack that went something like "Why does she want to fuck Barney Rubble?"

I blinked and almost missed it... was that a body double for Carmela?

I didn't buy the Steve Buscemi violent tirade at the end.
