Tahoe finally gettign the goods again

oh boy.....do i blow off work friday to score the goods? or will it be a warm storm? you just never know till ya go....

...RETURN OF MORE WINTER-LIKE WEATHER TO NORTHERN CALIFORNIA...

AFTER NEARLY TWO WEEKS OF UNSEASONABLY WARM TEMPERATURES THE WEATHER
WILL TURN MUCH COOLER WITH PRECIPITATION RETURNING TO INTERIOR
NORTHERN CALIFORNIA ON THURSDAY. THIS IS A RESULT OF A LARGE LOW
PRESSURE AREA IN THE EASTERN PACIFIC APPROACHING THE WEST COAST.

A FEW SHOWERS MAY OCCUR OVERNIGHT IN THE NORTHERN SACRAMENTO VALLEY
AND SURROUNDING MOUNTAINS. THE MAIN PART OF THE STORM SYSTEM WILL
MOVE INLAND THURSDAY AND THURSDAY NIGHT. PRECIPITATION WILL LIKELY
BEGIN IN THE NORTHERN SACRAMENTO VALLEY AND SURROUNDING MOUNTAINS
THURSDAY MORNING...AND THEN SPREAD SOUTHEAST THROUGH NORTHERN
CALIFORNIA THURSDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING. STEADY PRECIPITATION WILL
TAPER TO SHOWERS BY FRIDAY MORNING. THE PRECIPITATION WILL THEN END
FRIDAY AFTERNOON OVER THE CENTRAL VALLEY AND IN THE EVENING IN THE
    SIERRA NEVADA.

SIGNIFICANTLY COLDER AIR WILL ACCOMPANY THIS SECOND STORM. SNOW
LEVELS WILL START OUT AT AROUND 5500 FEET OVER SHASTA COUNTY TO NEAR
7000 FEET IN THE SIERRA NEVADA. SNOW LEVELS WILL GRADUALLY DROP
THURSDAY NIGHT...BECOMING AS LOW AS 3000 TO 4000 FEET IN THE
NORTHERN INTERIOR MOUNTAINS AND PORTIONS OF THE SIERRA NEVADA NEAR
THE END OF THE EVENT FRIDAY MORNING. SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 6 TO 12
INCHES WILL BE POSSIBLE IN THE HIGH SIERRA. GUSTY WEST WINDS AROUND
50 MPH ARE FORECAST TO OCCUR OVER THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS OF THE
    SIERRA NEVADA.

PERSONS PLANNING TRAVEL INTO THE NORTHERN INTERIOR
MOUNTAINS OR SIERRA NEVADA THURSDAY INTO FRIDAY SHOULD CHECK THE
LATEST ROAD AND WEATHER CONDITIONS PRIOR TO DEPARTURE...CARRY CHAINS
AND BE PREPARED FOR WINTER WEATHER TRAVEL CONDITIONS

How many flaming shots are you going to give LPH first?

He'll be expected at 10 at 10 on Friday and Sat....

we deserve it. this has been some dryspell that snow level sounds promising.

ww washed the car today, outside, and spoke of 'bringing out the deck furniture' after that the forecast seemed to magically change.

If this storm doesn't pan out, I'm taking the top off my Jeep. I've driven sans hardtop in blinding rain before, but snow should be...uhhhh...interesting...

I still think that my subie being in the shop and unavailable for my use is the culprit....

Ditto, just put on the Summer tires and blingy wheels. Damn I hope this storm is cold and makes it to Utah...
