    Thumbs up Maggot Stoke Calendar

The days are getting shorter and the ski season and new year is upon us. I have mentioned this in a couple of threads to no response, but just wanted to make sure there is no interest before giving up.

I’m willing to organize the production of one, but need some material. Depending on production cost and quality vs. fair price and demand, I was thinking any proceeds could go towards a bar tab at the Summit.

Obviously there are some folks here that take pix for a living, so the pic must be taken by you or of you with permission of the photographer (think kstromchaser whatever dood). If there are more than 12 pix donated, the collective will choose.

Food for thought: Should the pic come from the pervious year? Do the pix need to be action and winter or should it include landscape, MT biking, etc. Should location, board name and date be shown on the photo?

Anyone willing to provide some stoke? Again, here’s one that *might* be worthy. Coldsmoke - CO Summit 2007 – Tohellyouride BC

I'd be in...right now I have a calendar from my local ski shop, and it kinda sucks because it's all resort riding.

    Wink

That night shot is ok I guess. best night skiing ever.

P4B, what are the selection criteria, from 2006/7 season only? Scenics?, action?, hucking?

The thread powder11 started here is a good place to look.

And I'd be in for one.

Capital Idea! I am in for one or two if this project comes to fruition.

Whatever we want to make it. No criteria, just some thoughts I had. Again, to avoid hawking shots, the pic has to be voluntarily submitted. Hucking, faceshots, steeps, skintrack stoke, it's all good.

calendars are $10 (12$?) each through costco online - with no minimum. it not only has calendar pictures in the sense you're thinking, but you could also put images behind individual days.

i've done it before, and could help set it up again. p4b, let me know.

    ^^^^Awesomeness, thanks griz.

As steve pointed out, other pix could be used for backgrounds on certain days. e.g. yoga/splat = Valentine's Day

Get Summits permision to use one of the "Blurred's Pillow Line" Sequence shots from last season... pure sickness. Tried to link to it but all the posts I found are now RedEx-ed... response to the Kfag photo rippof incident? No matter... get the pic, its mandatory.

Here's my spring/summer contribution. Its the most stoke I've had in a while. Probably won't make the cut but I'll definitely buy one

we pick out the 12 best (and if we can't decide, pages can have more than one main pic - two portrait-oriented side-by-side, one portrait next to two landscapes, or 4 landscapes.)

we could, in theory, have a different picture for every day. 366 + at least 12. stoke a day. people's avatars on their birthdays. whatever.

that's a lot of work. we have a few months to put it together though - it would be fun.

2nd. Tyrone and co. on Hospital Air should be mandatory too. Need some blower/whiteroom shots. Something along these lines:

Oldies but goodies. Yo Bizzo - Wolfcreek - 2/5/04.
(I know maggots out there have waaaaay better ones )

It might be a long shot, but is there any way to choose pictures that were taken in the month they will correspond to on the calender. Southern hemisphere picks could cover late summer months.

    ....just a thought.

I'd be interested. I'll contribute this if more material is needed...
