    An unstylish video

Some clips that we took this weekend... It's not kidwooish in terms of style and it's unedited (plus you tube changed it to crappy quality), so you get to hear random talking and background noise. But there isn't enough actual riding posted here, so I figured I'd put this up.

I'm the guy on the blue bike with a grey/white jersey and tan shorts.

Yeah, it's one of the new trails that they built this year. The jumpy/smooth part of the trail ends about 50 yards past the last shot and it gets rocky. Based on some work being done it looks like it's going to be extended, which will be really sweet.

I normally have to brake check a bit in the s-berm, but from that point to the end it's basically let go of the brakes and pin it. There's also another route of the trail that takes you to a 7 or so foot ladder drop, but the go around is more fun.

Wow. Vernon Valley/Great Gorge, former Playboy Bunny Club turned ski hill, then turned Mountain Creek and home of mogul masher Donna Weinbrecht, now home to Diablo's bermy lofty trails!

    Nice stuff.

I've got to say of all the mountains I see footage from, diablo looks like one of the best places to ride in the country as far as lift access areas. From the rocks on the US open course to dominion, and now this newer stuff that looks just as fun.

    I'm jealous.

They manage to get a lot of variety into such a small place. It's a lot of rocks, but the trail crew there does a good job of smoothing things out or finding a little flow through the rocks.

Being close to NYC you get an interesting mix of people as well.
