Even though I was supposed to meet up with Aaron and friends in Fernie on Saturday (you know what they say about friends and pow) ...The 50cm's of pow in Kicking Horse was calling my name. So the wife and I made a on the spot decision got our junk together and headed for Golden about noon on Saturday.
After we got settled in with our two packsacks, ski boots and a dozen cold Sleemans we went out for a nice Greek dinner and some beers. Back to the motel and inhaled a couple more beers and then to bed.
Got up in time for a quick, A&W nutritional brekky and then up to the hill we went.
....and what a great day it was!

Here's Maren again after a short bootpack to the back rim of Feuz Bowl. She is standing on a cornice which you must drop to get in. Feuz is one steep mother of a bowl!

Setting it up for another turn...if it wasn't my first time and I knew the line I might have tried dropping some of those smaller rock bands. Then I would probably be posting pic's of me crashing![]()

Here's a shot somewhere on the lower mountain looking at the base area. Notice the steepness even on the lower mountain.

This was my last line into Feuz Bowl. I know it doesn't look that steep in the photo but I would guess it to be 48-50 degrees. It was all very soft and in the odd spot still untracked. What a perfect run to end the day and weekend with.
Cheers!!
