a rant...and other observations

So the wife and I moved to EAgle CO. and are living in W. Vail right now. On the 4th we decided to go to Lionshead for dinner and drinks. Ad in the paper said that this particular place(not going to name them) had 1.50 tacos, 3 dollar margs, and 2 dollar drafts. Sat down and said we want a 3 dollar marg. and a 2 dollar draft. We were told, nope....no specials. I said, it is in the paper. Was told that there were no specials on the 4th....sorry. I said well why was it in the paper? Again was told, the Vail Daily sucks. OK, I get it, people make mistakes, we were pissed but whatever. Bartender said I can't do anything about the taco prices but I can adjust drink prices. So the wife got her "3"dollar margarita and I got a 3 dollar Buff gold. After awhile, the bartender comes back and says " I feel sooo stupid, we do have specials, my bad". Well at this point the wife and i were like, WTF? We had decided to go ahead and go into the Village to eat instead. When running our ticket to pay, this same guy...still charged me 5 dollars for the wifes marg!!!! Not about the money, but wow what a clusterfuck!!!!

Ended up at the Red Lion, met some cool people, got really hammered and rode our bikes home. Bike paths are REALLY dark and I was really hammered. Knee is now busted up and bike is in the shop for major repairs. Oh well....

An observation: Why is going to Wal=Mart in Avon like going to another country?

Finally, watching Man vs Wild now and Bear just parachuted into Kenya. He has found a zebra carcass and is now carving on it. That guy is core.

You should get a sweet lighting system for your bike. I mean, after you get it fixed up and all.

WOW, and it's only july. Just wait till mid winter gaper season. You will be lucky to even get that shitty tenders attention and then he'll charge you double. You'll be stuck in traffic cause some dumbass from texas rented a suburban and though he could drive it real fast cause it has 4wd. The mountain, where the season pass costs 3 times as much as the mountains a half hour a way, is packed with idiots from around the globe who sit in the lodge on a pow day bitching about the lack of groomers.

Start packin, time to move back to MT before you become a mass murderer
