Damn, it's hot: Season in Review

Damn, it's over 100 out there and all the snow is gone. I need to look at some pictures to cool off, and I thought I'd post a couple shots from when we still had water. Most of these have appeared here in various TRs, but whatever. Enjoy.

Ira (dude is the subject of like 80% of my good photos this year) digging for the boof on upper Fish Creek (Lochsa tributary).

Here is a shot of me by EJ Etherington on the pillow at Brave Bear.

After the pillow, you better be getting left before dropping over the next ledge. Ben does it right.

Big Timber was probably the best creek I've ever run. This is some good shit.

Here AJ runs the retardedly huge Pinch slide.

    Alan haulin' ass.

This drop on Big T is too small to be named. I think it's considered class III.

Hey look, it's Ira again, this time on Big Sand Creek, another Lochsa tributary.

Don't ask, I have no idea.

Ah yes, this is me, 20 minutes from my front door on Kootenai.

Pretty sure you missed the eddy, Vino.

Lopez says....god damn, it's way too hot to have this much fur.

Now, with the exception of a little playboating and hopefully a trip to Canada, I will have to be satisfied with this.

And some of this...which is about 150 yards from the back door. Life is rough.

    See you next season!

A couple of the not so hot moments...

My carrying boat through the woods to paddling ratio was about 1:2 this year. LOTS of hike in runs.

Me backwards and damn near tipped over in the crack at Tijuana Crack Whore.

One of the worst looking swims I've witnessed to date.

My one and only booty beer this year. The funny thing is, despite everything I ran this year, it happened on a straight-forward class IV- rapid.

Nice season recap, you done good for how short the Montana boating season can be sometimes.

If you do head to BC this summer, feel free to hit me up on your way over. I'd be happy to show you down Tumwater or other Washington runs.
