    It is hot as hell and I am throwing back a case of beer on the lake with some bros. Morning ski/drink at 4th of jUly bowl, lake in afternoon, barbeque at night at my place.

    Im in Ocean City, NJ (a dry town)....it where my mom grew up. We have a little house a few blocks from the beach. Just gonna chill here and watch the fireworks on the beach.

    I have been in one of those before. Was in Gilbertsville, KY fishing and we had to drive 30 miles to Paducah for beer. It sucked to lay the least.

    I'll be watching the National Fireworks from the roof of the Kennedy Center with the wife, kids, and my mother. Pretty stoked - the food is amazing and it's the single best place on the mall to see the show, IMHO, since the prevailing winds blow the smoke the other way.

    Is the Pickle Barrel still there? Corner of 6th and Ocean I think. Spent a hazy weekend around the corner from there in college.

    Got in the car with my buddy. About halfway between CT and NJ he says,"Hmmm- there is an Ocean City Maryland too. Wonder which Ocean City they are at."

    Since these were his college buddies, and cell phones were not an option, we just ventured on to Ocean City,NJ looking for 6th and Ocean, hoping to find the Pickle Barrel.
    It all worked out. We threw a keg party, 20 chicks showed up. There were 8 of us. None of us remembered inviting any of them, but apparently we did a lot of drunken talent scouting the night before. Hell of a good time.

    I do remember a lot of worry over the keg. We transported it under cover of darkness, keeping it under a blanket. We thought we were being stealthy, but I am sure it was pretty obvious what was going on.

    well the fireworks are postponed till saturday because of wind and rough seas (they are shooting them off a barge this year)...

    Went for a quick 2 hour bike ride. Just learned how to ride big log piles, its so fun and easy now. And then later on a Barbeque.
