The Griz
yes, i am jealous. thanks for asking.
I'll second that....after setting up the new Macbook Pro and 23" Cinema for the designer at work, I really didn't want to give them up and go back to my 800Mhz Powerbook and 17" CRT.
wow thats quite the setup... you go with the dual quad core? I hear all the kids are doin it
wait until you get a 30", then you'll poop your pants for real.
or this:![]()
i plug my macbook pro into a 30" at work. going back to its puny 15" at home causes me to think that size indeed does matter.
Having any issues with slow refresh etc while running off the laptop? I had to upgrade this workstation to 4 graphics cards to run the dual 30's. They worked ok on 2 for basic graphics stuff, but for 3-D modeling, couldn't hang (well actually that's exactly what it did, hang)
no issue at all with the refresh rate, but i don't necessarily play games or do 3d modeling, i look at code. videos and movies at 30fps are fine.
the viz guys next door do plug proper workstations to the 30", but they're usually linux ones with many graphics cards in them.
hey grizz did you get a hardware screen calibrator too?
i hope you did!
Nice. I got the ACER 22" widescreen a few months ago. The difference is incredible, especially at 1680x1050. Damn video displays have come a long way.
