He's just having a dummy spit. I don't think a loss to Dingo would warrant retirement. Fuck- he's lost to lesser names before (Jeremy Flores in Chopes, Bede Durbidge in Trestles).

Who's left from his era? Taylor Knox? Seems like the younger guys are just thinking: "Beat it, guy. You've had your turn." That surfline article makes it sound like they all just root against him.

Contrast that to every other part of his life where people must just suck him off. It's got to at least be crossing his mind: "Man, fuck this. I've got enough dough and they'll keep paying me more just to fly around the world and surf. Fuck this bullshit."

I would think he'll stick around at least to get another event win or two. He's still needs that to pass Curren as the all time ASP win leader. To stop would be like Bonds hanging it up after HR #754 (which I wish he'd do).
