Semi Write up on the maggots I found circa 2002

Posted by a mag, I thought it was a fairly intersting blurb. way before my time,
    The Boardroom at www.powdermag.com

Another active site, these are the boards of POWDER - The Skier’s Magazine, long the most soulful hardcore skiing periodical. I lurk about on this one too. It has a high Bro-Brah quotient. It is unmoderated so the language in use is unlimited and exceeds all boundaries I ever deemed appropriate for myself. It is frequented by hardcore ski bums, cinematographers, freeskiing pros, pro wannabes, writers, and run of the mill skiers and dirtbags. It seems to be loaded with old-school participants, but a healthy group of new schoolers are in there duking it out. Instructors are violently shunned as vile heretics of the ‘cool world.’ But then again so are most newbies who post the first few times. It is much like a hazing when the time-honored veterans cut loose on new blood. If you can take it, stick around and it is fun. There is actually a lot to be learned here. I love it since I do have a good dose of hard-core in me somewhere. ***Parental Advisory on this forum, though most of it is centered around skiing. According to the regulars, when the snow flies the environment is less caustic.

Is that blurb from the Powder Mag write-up of the Board that came out in Sept. or Oct. of 02? When I read that article I was going through some major life changes (career change, killed a great relationship, had to cut communications off with my dad...fun times) and I thought "Why the fuck am I posting so much on ePic and just lurking pn PowMag?" So I made another life change.

It's not that the ass-whooping has stopped, it's that the sheer volume of JONGs these days is almost impossible to keep up with and berate them all.

However Phill I'll disagree that you weren't JONG'd. I don't think anyone here actually believes you can really ski those Squads
    I'm so hardcore, I'm gnarcore.

Looks like I picked the wrong thread to get sentimental.

    I propose a new rule:

If you've been here less than a year - you cannot "Jong" because you yourself are still a Jong.

    Got it Jongs?

No I know I was the exception to the decreasing in jonging. I created like 2-4 threads after registering and got brutally ass raped in each of them. Squad thread 1 and 2 Introduction bow down and worship thread, Question about bindings, and maybe another one

I got completely eviscerated when I joined up.
Bunch of old timers thought I was an Alias.
One of my first posts was about Pandora music website, IIRC.

Seemed like Bart was on track to achieve that. Ya gotta expect a flame-out at that pace though.

In my own defence, I still do a lotta cool stuff.
I just obsessively post about it.
