TR: First day back on the river

I have been anxiously waiting to get back on the river after doing a semester in Chamonix France to ski!! So for a mellow first run of the season (for me at least) we went to the Gallatin River. It was also the inauguration of my new creekboat which I am itching to use on some burlier rivers than the Gallatin.

The following pictures taken by Abbey are some "underwater shots" sorta.

If only you knew how envious I am. We can go sans drytops for maybe a couple of weeks in August on the Gallatin and a bit longer on the Yellowstone and Madison Rivers. I was at the Reno playpark several years ago in September boating in the evenings with just shorts and a PFD - warm water is soooo nice!!!
