    Snowing in Australia

9 Days until our official season opening, all the resorts are receiving some decent snowfalls, the last couple of years it was still warm & sunny this time of year, so we're sufficiently excited.

Will post stoke when it happens!

Definitely heavy drinking. The long weekend that's the 'Official' start of the season only has skiing 30-40% of the time. So it's traditional to do something else, and a lot of it.

We prefer it when the base of this statue is buried, though it's good to see it white:

    Here's to hoping,
last year was the worst I can remember in 15 or so years.
Still I can't say I remember two bad years on the trot. We'll see.
Start of the season is coming alright, marked by yet another Miller show (tomorrow night)that I'll turn up to inspite of myself.
    err huh huh spaghetti?

At Buller I'm not talking about 15", it's more like 15 beers!

Thought you guys were in the middle of the "big dry" or something. Is the drought coming to an end on that part of the colony now then?
    Not around much these days.

It would be premature to call the drought finished, but we've had some very welcome rainfall in the last few weeks.

I bought my house 2 years ago, and only found out last week that one of the drains was blocked.

Glad to hear you've had some rain. The situation with your farmers was getting pretty messed up.
