    My summer ride

100 loonies - the lightest bike i've ever owned, tube shift, and about an inch short everywhere. I needed a bike to get around Montreal all summer so I bought this one. I actually really like it besides being small for me. Thats what I get for being 6'3 though. It has a lot of character, and probably 4 people that wonder where their bike went that day they locked it in front of the library. Just thought i'd share, anyone else have ghetto rides that they like a lot for whatever reason?

I still have my old Univega touring bike that I bought when I was 15. Converted it to single speed and mounted cyclocross tires. The Univega is now the Unibomber.

Not only do i think someone would steal it, but I bet the shop I bought it from probably got it from a bum who stole it from someone else.

Anyways I saw today that they have welded the steel seatpost to the aluminum frame, how the hell does that work? I didn't think you could weld those two materials together.

It's all about the Univegas. I'm still riding my Grantech 6400 (aluminum with chromoly forks and stays) Not the lightest bike in the world, but sturdy!
