red rocks CC in lake wood/golden is pretty close to the mountains in co, 45 minutes to loveland
Or all of the CMC campuses.
But why would someone move out to the mountains to attend community college? Just take a year or two off and work/live at a ski area.
Check the SLC area.
Just out of curiosity, why not a full university? There is an extensive thread about universities near skiing.
Fernie, Nelson (?)
Truckee Meadows CC in Reno,NV
Foget SLCC unless you are a park rat, you'll either have to commute around the lake north to south to school or south to north to get to worthwhile skiing besides Kirkwood and you're still an hour away from that even in SLC.
You want the newly expanded Sierra College Truckee extension my friend! I did a year there before I transfered to UC Davis. I was 5 minutes from class, 15 minutes from Squaw, 20 from Alpine Meadows. Need I say more?
The only thing that could possibley be better would be Mammoth Lakes Community College.... but it doesn't exist.
Whatcom community college. Skip winter quarter and ride knee deep "pow" at Baker, or take night classes.
sign up for one of them fancy computer - online colleges. then you can take your pick of locations!
a former girlfriend of mine went to Colorado Mountain College at Steamboat Springs. ski pass was included for the duration of your studies back in the late 90's. i visited for a winter from canada and it was a great party!

-Bellingham, WA
-Nelson, BC
is there a good bus system in lake tahoe?
Hey, hic, we're building something. Build it and they will come. And where we're building it ... well let me just, hic, say it's within crawling distance of the Tourist Club. And if you make it out of there with a full set of teeth, or at least as many teeth as you went in with, well, hic, you missed the party. Carry on. Me ? I'm educated and I just polished off a bottle of Super Tuscan along with the beer. Life is too short for cheap wine or fizzy beer.
I'll be the third one to suggest Whatcom CC in Bellingham. If you like the pow pow you'll like Baker, it averages over 650 inches of snow a year. Bellingham is a really cool town, just be careful with the partying. I have a friend that went to Whatcom for six years and still didn't graduate, he was a big fan of weed. Bellingham is also the home of Western Washington University, so if you decided to tranfer to a University you would'nt have to move.
I went to North Seattle CC for a year and it was alright. I went there because it was close to where I lived, but I wouldn't move across the country to go there. The traffic in Seattle is fucking unbelievable, unless you really really want to live in the city you should consider some schools on the other side of Lake Washington. Bellevue CC is bigger and closer to Alpental, just hop on I90 and your there in about 30-45 minutes.
Thats all I got for ya, my vote goes to Whatcom CC in Bellingham.
I forgot to mention, check out any of the North Cascades TR's by Squirrel99 or Skier666. There are some great shots of what would be right in your back yard if you moved to Bellingham.
It wouldn't suck to live a couple hours away from Whistler.

Check and see what articulation agreements the CCs have - lots in my area have established deals where if you graduate with at least a 2.5 or so you're guaranteed admission (and all your courses transfer) to nearby colleges.
Plan ahead b/c it's a pain in the ass to take the same course twice, or better yet realizing you wasted a course or three because it won't transfer to your next school.
Drop me a line if you have any specific q's. The bottom line is a little bit of planning and an idea of where you're trying to go can easily save you a year or two and a couple grand.
