I have a pair of 06/07 Apache Recon's, 174cm, one tail of the ski that is bent at about a 15 degree angle behind the heel piece of the binding. I skied it for about 40 days before this happened, I don't know how it bent, the skis hadn't left the ground on the day in question, and there is no visible impact on the bases. I am light guy, only weigh 130 pounds, and don't ski super aggressive. K2 say have tested and will not warranty them as they say there is no flaw in the construction of the ski, but they don't know why the ski has bent either. Has anyone else had any issues with a K2 ski warranty, a ski bending or breaking, not being warrantied, or anything else useful to know about the Fir/Aspen core. How could this happen. Unrelated, but I had issues with pre-releases on the Marker Piston M1 12.0 binding that came with the ski, releasing from the toe piece on a few occasions. Anyone had any similar issues. Really interested to know your guys thoughts.
