Guy is independently making them.
And they're CHEAP... under $200. (the 9/11 is really a 10/12)
Here's some comments, random user:
"I purchased two 5/6 reels from him last sunday one in gold and one in gunmetal. The gunmetal color is awesome, by far my favorite. Now let me preface this by saying I am a machinist/CAD designer and have been for the last 19 years. When ever I look at anything the first thing I do is look at the machine work, force of habit. The machine work and the fit and finish on Bob's reels is second to none. These reels are beautiful works of art. I took one and totaly disassembled it to get a look at the inside. The spindle/drag assembly is extreamly simple yet functional and built like a tank. These are by far the smoothest reels I own. They have very little start up inerta and the carbon drag is built to last. I have not had a chance to fish with one yet, hopefully tonight. I have no question they will perform as great as they look. I think anybody that buys one will be happy".
And more from the maker:
Late next year release (hopefully) a 12/15 Reel
Flyrods this year (sometime in July) from 4-10# (11-15# for 2008)
The only thing worse than the feeling that you are going to die is the realization that you probably won't.
