    Some spring skiing pictures

We were skiing at Riksgräsen from 14.5. to 20.5. Weather was so good that we actually missed the whole freeride competition, because we wanted to ski and not just watch others skiing. We had camera with us only for one day, so not too many pics this time. It was raining on Wednesday and Thursday. Wednesday was monoski day for me and Thursday was dedicated to different kind of bewerages. Great trip again

There's still a lot of snow up there.

Veikko cruising down, Rombakstrotta in the background.

    Having fun at small cornice.

Snow was pretty much perfect spring snow.

In steeper places snow was bit crusty that day, looks good, but skis horrible.

    Couldn't complain of the weather.

    Scenic.

    Nice slush.

Nice little drop in the end of line.

    Me skiing down to railroad.

My turn to try that huge drop Big Daddy's look like race sticks.

Playing on a spine, a lot of nice wind formed obstacles up there.

Almost forgot to post this midnight pic.

Nice! The background - can you say touring possibilities?

This (a link) should be in the "Snow for the Euros".
"Average summit heights are around 1000m to 1200m but on the high glaciers of the main Lyngen Peninsula there are summits over 1400m with Jiehkkevarri being the highest at 1834m above sea level."

Yep, you can clearly see the S-cooler in Rombaksrotta... "Nice", "mellow" line that almost anybody can ski .

If you don't already have the Topptur-guide for Riksu/Narvik, give me a holler and I can lend you mine.
