    Copying tunes from CD

I want to rip a bunch of tunes from my CDs to my hard drive as MP3s. Anyone know of a good free program that will do the job. If not free something I can steal through kazaa.

audio converter. free demo version, then pay like 20 bucks and get the full after it expires. Fastest and best ripper I've found. Nary a hiccup in 7GB+ of ripping.

It's easier to download the tunes with kazaa even if you have the CDs.
If you have a problem & think that someone else is going to solve it for you then you have two problems.

That's true, if you don't mind the fakes, the partial tunes, the shitty-shitty rips, the fubar filenames and the whole RIAA spook factor.

no shit. I don't mind the RIAA, they can go fuck themselves, but the shit I want to hear ain't on Kazaa in any kind of good form. If all you like is the latest mainstream crap or radiohead you're good, otherwise you be fucked.

cough cough PRIVACTY VIOLATIONS cough cough

I use itunes for it... but any number of other programs will work. I believe winamp will also work.

NOTE: Make certain that the ripper is ripping into MP3 NOT whatever proprietary bullshit your program uses.

Grab Exact Audio Copy over at www.exactaudiocopy.de . Excellent Ripper that you can bolt whatever conversion tool you want onto (MP3, MPC, Ogg, etc). Does a great job on Cd's that have been scratched.

    Also...it's free
