skins question

I have skins that are trimed to fit my G4's and tomorrow I think I'm going use my Explosives, will the skins work or will I totally flail?

It may depend where you go

Assuming the skis are similar length or that you can adjust for that, then the main difference is that the skins will be off the edges by an extra 6 mm on each side underfoot, maybe a bit more as you go to the extremities. It shouldn't be a problem IMHO because you're still getting plenty of skin under your ski, until you're on a real steep icy slope where being on edge without a skin may prove to require more work than with the G4. But I'm not even sure that'll be a problem as long as you make sure your edge is set before you slide the other ski past the edged one.

You should be ok as long as you make sure to put the ski flat on the snow while skinning and avoid edging too much. For icy traces better take the binder's cramps with you, just in case....
