I would guess that alot of people bailed cause of the weather. MD had to work.

Here is a link to the list of attendees from the website, you can see just how many people were going to come vs. how many actually came.

But, hey, IMHO, more important than who wasn't there is who was there.

i know i know, guilty as charged.

I really wanted to come down, had the trip planned and the time off 6 months in advance. But in the interim I traveled for work (and a little play) virtually non-stop, and whenthe Thur before the summit rolled around and I finally found myself a day away from the vacation, I just couldn't quite get myself to get back on the road for the week.

So I thought I'd hang here in town and recover for a few days, and then come down for the second half of the week. But the days blurred, and I realized how badly I needed to simply do nothing. Get up in my own bed, go to the hill, ski my home mountain with my pass, come home, hang out with my friends here that I basically hadn't seen in half a year, and so on.

I got in some nice corn days, same as yous guys, and I definitely wish I could have made it down there, but it just wasn't to be in this case. First major maginion event I've missed in the West, I believe.

Anyway, sounds like you all had a freakin blast. I was thinking of yas, and thanks for the kind thoughts.

Might be headed to Xtal or Tahoe for this next storm system if I can, should have had a good couple weeks of recovery by then.

    Love ya all

    No more super-8

After 12 days on the road, we couldn't take another hotel room or another hour in the truck....sounds like we missed a blast.

    Thanks for the posted stoke.

I spent all my duckets on Silverton and bootcamp for Paco, then my mom came here during the Summit week.

I'm a big pussy and I'm going to flush my hand down the toilette now.

Yeah, work got the best of me. First summit I've missed as well. I had it all lined up and ready to go, but we won 3 new accounts and with me being the only art guy and it being a critical point in several new relationships it just couldn't happen on those dates.

But I will be hooking up with the Kirkwood crew exactly 2 weeks from tonight.
