If you made an honest effort to do the right thing, and she's still too god damned lazy or too stupid to go to kinko's and pay $.35 to fax you the estimate so she can get her car fixed......

Yes, this is my point. To make things more complicated, she told me that she had 3 estimates (~$1000) and then went and traded said car in for a NEW one. So she doesn;t even have the car anymore in case my ins co (like I'd report it) wanted to send her to their own mechanic.

I left a note on her windsheild, then actually figured out who she was (catering for a party put on my my in-laws and talked to her directly 90 mins after the fact; this was outside their house as she was setting up).

I hear ya- kind of a bummer though for her. Didn't get the idea she knew any better, other then some honest guy in a tie hit her car and fessed up to it, so he must have been good for a G or do for a dent the size of a coke can on her '86 tercel...

BTW, this is a person I will likely run into again- small town...

You, better hope that she can not find a fax machine next time too.

Since then it's been a book you read in reverse, so you understand less as the pages turn.
