    Baby Gates = Purchased

My daughter is now fully mobile on all fours. Man can she scoot! We had to buy baby gates because she looks down the hall with that "I'm gonna rip the shit outta this" look. I can't wait 'til she is ready to ski!!!

wait until she can run. and climb. and open doors.

tons and tons of fun, though. my two-week old just sits there. I'd forgotten how boring that is.

A first for me was my 19 month old locking me out of the slider while I was manning the grill the other night. My wife was not close by either, so I had to go around to the garage and enter that way.

We did not do a whole lot of baby gate stuff, although looking at a few of the tumbles he had, we could have relaxed a bit more with them.

How old now? Ours just turned 13 months and it's starting to get really fun! Not walking yet, but I totally understand the "gonna rip the shit out of this" look.

Our 14 month old is a little ball of fire. She started walking at around 12 months. From the moment she wakes up she's trolling around, looking for shit to get into or stuff to climb on. The other day she got into the zip-loc bag drawer and pulled all the boxes out of the drawer and then proceeded to pull all the bags out of the boxes. One by one. Spread methodically out over the kitchen floor.

She's never met a set of steps she doesn't want to climb, so we do have to do SOME of the gate thing.

Don't forgot the little plastic things that you put in receptacles! You're daughter is most likely far smarter than I was (is ), but I managed to jam all kinds of fun stuff into those things in my earlier years (paper clips, wire, etc.). Looking back, I'm suprised I'm still around - albeit half a bubble off of plumb.

my 10 month old son gets that same look!

Tough to keep up w/ my arm in a sling. Walking behind his toy dumptruck makes his day. He'll truck a way, stop and dance, then truck some more. Stands on his own a bit, but no solo walking yet. We are going to be for it when he starts to run.

Take lots of pictures now. In a couple of months she will have too many bruises to take good pictures due to all the falls of learning to walk/run. You will go through a phase where everyone thinks you abuse your child.

Our little guy is 2 1/2 months. He's begun to smile but spends most of his time sitting around and yelling at me to get him a bottle and wipe his ass. He's kind of a jerk. But we love him.

Ours is 16 months old and loves to spend her time bringing her burp cloths and books from her room to the kitchen and zip lock bags from the kitchen to our room. Sometimes she'll reverse the process but usually we just find stuff in the wrong place. Following her around is a blast. She is just figuring out how to get back on her feet without pulling up on anything.

    Very fun age!

Been there, done that, and doing it again. I comfort myself by believing that skulls are really hard, even at a young age. I hope it's true.

I thought you purchased Bill and Melinda's child.

I wouldn't have clicked the thread otherwise.
