Bear Creekin in Montucky (pictures inside)

Good ole Bear. I gave her some knuckle skin Tuesday, hope that will appease her for the year.

Ben boofing at the start of Brave Bear

Wonder why they call it Brave Bear? Could be because it's fucking scary.

Ben on the Tijuana Crack Whore

It's called the Crack Whore because there is a crack that people fall into. Sometimes they do it backwards. Here I am demonstrating the technique.

    Myself getting Brave.

Testing my nerves...halfway through the rapid.

    I love the Bitterroots.

Nice shots. Do they have eddies in MT?

    Now, for having water......

Heh, knuckle skin. I just looked and I have 4 knuckles that are in different stages of the healing process.

Nice looking creek. What's your window on it-is it up and down quick?

Usually starts sometime in April and ends sometime in June, with a window where it's definitely too high in there somewhere (like today).

    YO!

I was there, I watched one of you 3 run the flume. I was on the trail side with my dog, taking pictures. I even mentioned you guys on my blog entry.

    See here.

Nice, I've never gone to Bear Creek during runoff... I'm always going in the fall when the level is really low. This was my first time there in the Spring.

Nice. I saw you. I was the guy who flipped...twice.

edit: get any pictures of me running/floating upside down on it? And I have a cousin with the same name as you...although the Irish aren't very imaginative, so it's not too surprising I guess.

No, sorry. I didn't take too many, and the ones that came out clear are the ones I put up on the blog. A good perspective would have been a bit downstream of where I was, looking up the flume. But I was trying to keep my eye on the dog, so I only took a brief few pictures.

Yeah, the potato heads aren't too original with their names. If his middle name is Timothy, then our full names are the same. I think the potato heads know only Timothy, Patrick and Matthew as middle names, so the chances are good.

How do you avoid hitting bottom when you get flipped? Even if you lay tight to the deck, the creeks still not all that deep, is it?

    NICE!
I saw those on Boatertalk today, figured it was someone from here when I saw the word "stoke" in the title. Sucks having TGR blocked at work. I may have to find a new job. In the meantime, please post more on BT 'cause that place kinda sucks.
I should probably change my username to IReallyDon'tTeleMuchAnymoreDave.
