WTB: Disc Brake Compatible Wheelset & Brakes

I've got a 2005 Specialized Rockhopper Comp that came with v-brakes and I'm looking to upgrade to discs so it's time for some new wheels. I'm a pretty big guy at 6'5" 240 so I need something that'll stand up to a bit of abuse and won't go out of true within a couple of rides.

Of course I'm also looking for a disc brake kit to complete the upgrade so let me know if you have anything laying around that you need to get rid of.
I think that the human mind is unique among all other forms of life in that it can spontaneously create unique thoughts and provide unique behaviors. Instead of rewarding that uniqueness we, for some reason probably because of cultural and social necessity, we chastise unique behavior and reward conformity.

    How 'bout these
    http://www.tetongravity.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=84084.
They're beefy for DH, but they'd certainly last you if you're worried about beating on xc gear. And they could move to your next bike with you. 2.5 tire clearance would be the other big issue, though you could run 2.3s too. $450 OBO for you.
Edit: Nevermind. Through axel. They won't work. Silly me.

I have some handbuilt (by me)WTB speedmaster rims, DT DB spokes, on black XT disc hubs, front and rear, for $225, along with a set of Hayes 9 hydraulic brakeset, front and rear, for $200...free shipping for the combo. Wheels come with discs with the combo, as well. If you are not a clumsy hucker, or a generally goofy rider, these wheels should last you for many years. One season light use, my wife is 4' 11", and a really timid rider...she is preggers, so it is a good time to part out her stuff and build her some upgrades...Lemme know!
    This is a fair deal!

    Bump:
I also have a mismatched pair of Hayes hydros, one mag 9, one earlier gen mag, both with new pads, but both (I think) need bleeding...yours for $100 for the two.

    $250 would be a good deal, >$200 a steal.
    Good luck!

Thanks for the offers everyone. Anon-505 hooked me up with a set of wheels and tires, but I'm still looking for some brakes.

Rideit: That's a great deal you have there, PM incoming.
