Holy shit there were some timing issues there. I guess there's not much more you can do but commit in a boat that big. Can't turn tail and bail back to shore to wait it out once you're on your way.

In Oz, clubbies weren't usually so highly regarded by surfers. Who wants to parade around in cock jocks while you could be surfing? Vince might have a different opinion - AFAIK Hawaiian clubbies are more respected.

Fuck that lifeboat shit! My surf club only had the IRBs (Inflatable Rescue Boats). Those were a shitload of fun to hoon around in when the surf was shit or maxing out of control

A friend in Oz has one of those little Zodiac things. They look crazy fun in the surf. He said they flip a lot. He calls them something other than Zodiacs, though. I'm trying to remember what it is.
