What am I doing wrong?

I am trying to set the air pressure in both the main and bottom out chamber of the DHX Air. I am using a shock pump, making sure that it is on not overly tight, pumping it up to the desired air pressure, but when I unscrew the pump some air from the shock is being released, like 25psi.

What am I doing wrong?

edit to add from the Fox website, problem solved.

5 – NOTE: When you attch the pump to the shock, the hose will need to fill up with air. This will result in a lower pressure registering about 10 to 20 PSI on the gauge.

sounds like you have a dirty valve on the shock or the pump. Blow it out with some air and add a very small drop of some type of lube (make sure it is petro based and not a wax type). worked for me with a similar prob.
