    Total lacrosse domination

The high school I went to in NY, Corning East, has been a long-time state power in lacrosse. A few state titles, and visits to the finals and semi's every year.... but this past week, they continued what has to be the most impressive sports streak I've seen- they beat our in-town rival, Corning West, for the 97th straight time! Corning West is no slouch either- they're typically the second best team in the section every year. Simply mind-blowing.

Well everyone knows Lacrosse is bigger in the East than in the West.

Isn't lacrosse that sport where a bunch of white dudes that are going to ivy league schools run around for a few minutes throwing a ball back and forth?

That's a pretty impressive. Something similar happened at my high school where the field hockey team ran off 88 straight games without a loss (I think they had 2 or 3 ties). If you were a fourth-year starter when that streak ended, it was your first and last high school loss.

As for lacrosse, it's such a fun sport...it's like hockey and basketball combined into one except it's lightning fast and the goals are way more excited. Used to coach during college and want to get back into it. Most non-fun moment as a goalie was having my cup cracked in half from a bouncing shot from one of our behemoth attackers during practice.

Wow... need to chime in here. Baseball = America's Pastime

Lacrosse? Widely know as the fastest game on two feet and a hell of a lot more sweet then dudes in tight pants gettin' to third with eachother.

Well YEAH! I mean they would be idiots to be fat in lacrosse.

It would hinder their running skills.

(and possibly if they were a rapist, their running skills again)

It sure as hell isn't the "fastest game on two feet" when they pass the ball in circles around the crease for 3 minutes before one guy goes in for a shot. Sometimes lacrosse can be more boring than watching golf- but yeah, its a fun sport. I played for 5-6 years before I had to choose baseball or lax, since they were during the same season. I chose baseball.

Sorry, Smmokan. These fellas are the only two who can lay claim to the title "Total Lacrosse Domination."

The Gait's... I used to have the poster of those guys jumping from the back of the crease hanging on my wall.

The Powells were pretty close to that too.

For the most part you're right, once you include Casey and Ryan Powell (Mike didn't really dominate...he did do a backflip though)...but there's a few more that could be added to the list...
The educational benefit most receive outweighs those that will be lost in the process
