good job dude, for sure! Congratulations!
Awesome! Congratulations. Bump skiing is so hard... i don't think my knees could handle it for long. I can get down bumps, and i can even get down them fluidly by skipping along the tops of them, but i always get out of control trying to rip a zipper line.
Dude, you should be showing mad stoke about it. You entered a comp and won. I don't care if there were only two of you in your class, you won. You should be proud. How about a review of the day including what it took from you?
I thougt you meant bumb as in basketball god I'm a loser

Thanks for the congrats, here is how it went down...
The comp was a duel format. The course was maybe 75 yards long and about thirty degrees. The two lines could not have been more different. The blue course skiers left was a nice, straight consistent line. The ruts werent very deep, although the bumps were a little too spaced out for my tastes. The red course skiers right was very tight, deep, and inonsistent. About four or five bumps in it sort of split and you had to pick a line. Most picked left as it was the only way to keep your speed and still stay in line with the kicker. (there was only one kicker on each course) After the kicker both courses became much more spaced out and you had to make sure you resisted the urge to straight line it or you werent going to score well.
At nine-thirty this morning the snow was ice hard in the ruts but softened up perfectly by eleven. The sky was blue with a few lazy cotton-ball clouds floating by, but the storm clouds were on the horizen and it was questionable whether they would be able to get the comp finished before the rain came, luckily it waited until about an hour after the last run to open up on us, so we dodged a bullet this time.
I ended up in the final skiing the red course, so I didnt expect to win. I ended up putting together quit a run, my turn scores are what won it because I was only able to muster a single twister off the kicker. Had I been on the blue course I would have spun it but skiing the crap line I decided I just needed to make sure I crossed the finish on my feet, and once I was in the air I couldnt seem to throw a double. We crossed the line about even, I maybe had two or three feet on him.
The score was 4 to 1 for the red course, but when I saw this I couldnt remember what course I was on so I had to turn and ask my compertitor which course I was on. He just laughed and said "you won dude shake my hand and lets ride the chair back up."
This is the second time I have competed and it is amazing to me how much better I ski when something is on the line. Competition makes me focus so much more on my skiing and making sure I am foreward and not getting lazy. For anyone that has never competed on skiis, it is one hell of an adrenaline rush.
Congratulations on your performance!
Keep up the good work.![]()

Did you get really nervous? I competed this weekend too, and for the qualifying round i was so nervous at the top that i was shaking. My muscles were barely working right. I was basically incapacitated by my nerves... and it was a face i've skied numerous times before.
