Nice shots, looks like your are figuring out the camera just fine. Glad to see the teaching and kids didn't make you go crazy.

How was the snowpack holding up with these warm temps? Was it firming up or pretty sloppy?

There was only a light coating of ice on the water on the roadway at treeline, so there was not a hard frost last night. East aspect was past ready to ski at 10:00 am. I was able to punch all the way down with my pole through rotty snow near rocks. I skied E/SE on steep open terrain at the bottom of Democrat and had some fun - didn't sink in at all but I could feel some moisture suction on the bottom of my skis.

We're heading into a storm cycle though, right?

I enjoyed the season, but when Keystone closed I had no energy left to teach at A Basin. It's my turn now. Hopefully heading out your way this spring.

yeah, they usually stop plowing just past the mining building on your left. Usually it's snowed in for a few hundred yards after that, but then the road is clear again for a long ways(~1mi.) due to all the wind.

I need to get up in there and ski Buckskin.

    Glad you had fun.

Exactly! That's just where I parked. And I had to walk so far on level dry ground. Somebody needs to dig that out.
