    Putzing around the neighborhood

It's good to wake up in the morning and not go to work. Just grab the gear, drive around a little and do a ski. Some days solo, some days with friends. Have some fun. Get a feel for the snow. Various spots around A Basin, Loveland Pass, Mosquito Gulch and undisclosed location #4753.

The Bros are grateful for the chance to get out and play. Let me say thanks again right now to all the maggots that made my nx21s and bros a reality.

    Beavers

    Steep Gullies

    Loveland Pass

    Pinky swear stash

    Big slide on Peak 2

Starts east and then wraps south

    Mosquito Gulch (go there)

    Hmmmm, ok.

That's just the entrance mountain - as far as I could drive my truck. There's a ton of terrain back there. I don't want to post pics of it. Just go.

Ron and BZ, that was several different days in different places over the past week or so.

If you're not hiking, it's time.

nice miriam, I am glad you got to use your new camera on some skiing. We should meet up sometime before all this snow turns to solid ice.

Did you see where I went last weekend yet? It was a great day! This weekend will hopefully be pretty good still.

Nice Mir. London Mt. has some great lines on it. Could you drive all the way to where the road forks?

Thank you. They're showing me a good time so far.

f8f, how do you know my name? Have we met?

cmsummit, nope not yet. Mosquito Gulch is just coming into prime time this month. Man, I have spent a lot of days there in the past. It was cool to go back. I did my first little solo back there. http://www.tetongravity.com/forums/s...morning+outing

I think it's just the perfect place for solitude, terrain, and learning the backcountry. Go to Alma and take county road 10 to get to the goods.

This morning I drove up Buckskin Gulch and I got stopped by snow in the road before the windy cutoff. I walked so freaking far to go and ski - like miles. When I'm out by myself, I'm just afraid to get my truck stuck. Hey, that rhymed.

You're just too tired from yard work! Sorry I forgot to say about the wood, but I wouldn't use any treated lumber on foodstuffs. Stick with cedar.
