Looks like winter is over in Utah

Not that it hasn't been amazing, but I'd like it to last a bit longer.

This is the Sandy forecast. You can subtract about 20 degrees for Alta/Snowbird, but that's still way too hot with no precipitation.

    Tonight
    Mar 14 Partly Cloudy 36° 10 %
    Mon
    Mar 15 Mostly Sunny 56°/38° 10 %
    Tue
    Mar 16 Mostly Sunny 54°/36° 0 %
    Wed
    Mar 17 Mostly Sunny 54°/36° 0 %
    Thu
    Mar 18 Partly Cloudy 56°/40° 0 %
    Fri
    Mar 19 Partly Cloudy 64°/39° 0 %
    Sat
    Mar 20 Partly Cloudy 65°/36° 0 %
    Sun
    Mar 21 Sunny 66°/36° 0 %
    Mon

I can give you some from here, if you will give me a bit of sunlight. I only need 2 to 3 days and I will trade you 70 centimeters off the 170 to 200 that we got at elevation. I'm not completely greedy.

It appears that BumZ would rather stay home and play internet poker than come out & jib with the crew.

    True story.

    Thumbs up

Looks like it's time to break out the bikes and kayaks. Unless we get another storm of biblical proportions, its probably safe to say the season is past its peak. But as all of us Colorado Maggots know, winter is never over here

Yeah, Z, after you get your ass kicked in the park this week you can come over and get it kicked at Beer Pong.

I'm not much for the stunt ditch, really. I do enjoy going off the jumps on my double-tip skis, though.

I'm still working on getting the Utard crew into the park on hard-pack days, rather than letting them hibernate in between powder days like they usually do.

I'd hit the pipe up but I am afraid that the face plants will come much harder and more frequently now that the heel isn't attached. I hit the park up today....wrecked myself three times coming up short. There is just something about flying off of cliffs that I enjoy more.

My advice: Don't come up short.

I like spring skiing, it can be fun. I'll be out a bunch this week if any of you want to come out of hibernation.

I'm out for revenge on that fun box; but I have to work 9-5 Monday to Wednesday, then PCMR Thursday, so it may be Friday, if there's any snow left on the ground by then....

It's not over (hands over ears, eyes closed, repeating over and over).

Skiing slush bumps and racking myself in the park with the normal characters was still very fun. It makes the big Heineken’s on the tram deck that much better. There is something to be said for high-speed fly-bys on the gapers during spring as well.

Well then, Red, get busy and make some weather news that would make us all happy.

Hey, I'll be the first one to admit that any specific forecast longer than 5 days out isn't worth paying attention to; and notice that my station is the only one that does not do a 7-day, for that reason exactly. For you east-coasters, 7-days can be accurate, but in the west, our weather 7 days out is somewhere near Taiwan - (or the Aleutians, if we're lucky... )

But general trends in weather - large scale pattern changes, for instance, are pretty easy to spot more than 5 days out - all I'm saying is, that none of the guidance out to 240 hours suggests any significant change from the pattern we're in, so get out the park skis, and leave the Gotama's and Big Stix 106 in the closet...

    Lightbulb

Red Baron has had more luck on fun boxes than BumZ, and BumZ has already vowed to never touch one again. He's scared.

    It's funny because it's true.
