Cool movement thunder vs. legend pros

this spring i skied the movement thunders (187) and loved them.
All i can say is that i just loved the movements for charging down. they felt great at speed and will be ok for powder also. however they are not that heavy either. though i liked them a lot, they are not selling for a decent price.

so, i thought the legend pros might be comparable at 186. however, i have never skied them, only the 8800s. did anyone ski both, the movements and the pros??? are they at all comparable
i will use them mainly for off/on pist resort skiing when the fresh lines are gone. i have the gotamas for first tracks.

    - or should i just sack up and get the xxls (after all the glorious reviews)

Legend Pro's are quite comparable with the older versions of the Thunder (the ones with the shiny topsheet), but considerably more serious than the new ones.

Considering your options, I'd surely go for the Pro in 186 (or maybe the pro in 194, they rock in pretty much everything except trees ). The pro XXL is a very good ski, but not as an overall option imho (I liked the normal pro in 194 way better).

thanks for that info. i skiied the 07/08 which still flexed very little (esp. the tail).
i guess i will look for good deals on either of them. maybe the mythic lets the prices drop on the legend pro.

Thunders are definitely narrower than the lps, and are livelier (prob due to much less weight). I'm pretty sure u can find thunders for 350 or so. I've seen powpows for good money (fatter, longer, still pretty light) too, so that might be an option?

    what is the construction?

If it is the cap construction that is the goliath, the LP's are your choice hands down..

popwpow are definitely an option - i just haven´t skiied them yet.
also sport65 looks good- lots of good skis there, but no thunders
