chicken hearts (course)- just the chicken heart is good enough reason.

S9s for the orange base that made the snow glow.

The G9 tommy moes because of the fish.

flame bigs b/c they destroyed bumps.

hmmm.... the original 4x4s before the powertracks because they had the illest set of rubber risers in the world, and a propensity for breaking in half.

and the Max0 for just being fucking bad ass.

the old white topsheet 194 Super Nobis's (the raceroom ones with the vert sidewall construction) and the 90 waist.

I liked it even more than the current 97mm waisted skis. not sure why. just felt more comfortable to me.

the Vertical Assaults were the best ski in their day. Period.
Back in PA there seems to be a ressurgance of this ski. I found a couple of pairs still in their wrappers(Ok, maybe not in the wrapper, but close enough) and gave them to a couple of buddies from high school for wedding presents at each of their weddings.

"Way better than linens," I thought.

Both missed on the whole "shaped ski" phenomena and are still rockin' em as regularly as a couple of work-a-daddies could.

this ones for you Meehan......BRING BACK THE VERTICALS!!!!

I really loved my first gen Concepts - the red and silver ones. They took a beating and kept on ticking. I sold them to some kid that is a liftie at the local hill and still see them on the hill from time to time.

Speaking of Dynastar Skis, does anyone know the name of this ski? I don't have much details but I will give you what I have...

It is a midfat (~90mm waisted or above), comes in a 194ish, has an all white, smooth topsheet. Vertical sidewall, big, and very stiff. They also have a flat, squared off tail and a pointed (not rounded) tip. Are they the origional Super Nobis you speak of Tyrone?

Vertical Assualts for sure. I also like the sort of fat ones that have flames on the tips--made me think I was skiing on two big spliffs.....or maybe it was the two big spliffs that made me think that. Either way those skis were rad, with their mini swallow tail and all.

    The next one...

The golden GS with red thing on tips
The Nascar themed Course Comp 66
    4x4 (flamed version)
    The 8000
Top of the range Skicrosses (playful GS skis).

I love Dynastars. It's a familly thing : Here Mrs PhilippeR Jr (4) killing it on her My First Dynastar.
