The purpose of this thread is to give some public props to Mrs. Griz for a great season – not only was it her second year skiing (I convinced her to move out west from Iowa in 2005), but she also blew her ACL in February 2006 at A-basin. I think a lot of newbies would have thrown in the towel, but she made great progress this year despite the surgery and rehab. She went from skidding around on groomers in October to carving some aggressive turns on all sorts of terrain this spring.
We capped off her season on Saturday (4/28/07) getting a few turns in on Pikes in the sunshine – one of her first true off-piste experiences. I’m a total camera JONG, but here’s a pic of Mrs. Griz on Blue. Way to go HB!
Being that maggots are known for great words of encouragement – does anybody have something to say to help her along her journey into “ski-dom”?
