    Kirkwood Comp Crash Video

    Found this on youtube

Compilation crash footage from qualifying day, then Day 1 World Tour, then Day 2 World Tour.

Tatsuno's nutball straightline is in about the middle
My air-to-crush is at about 3:30
And I think it's Alto's MASSIVE backie is at the end (pretty sure that was you Alto??!..can't remember)

    SIIICk!

Not sure if I should be proud or not that I'm the second skier in the video - at t-minus 3:50

The most painful person to watch was at -3:36. We saw someone last Sunday wearing their athlete pass. That guy was soy enough, I think it was him. As much as I like my pass, the only day I might consider wearing it would be on long board day.

    Imz is at -3:19

I assumed this guy died, but at -3:03 he gets up to stick the front flip.

At least I got a cool photo out of the qualifier!

Ty - how did Kodak feel on a hardpack day? You're sickter.

Woof! 3:19... hard to see my ski go shooting straight up.

Next year I make all the highlight reels without crashing (grin).

    Hello
    That's me behind the camera.
    1:59 is Tatsuno.
There are two big similar backflips. The first is Josh Daiek, the second and bigger is Drew Tabke.
The full strength video is here . In it you can tell Tats is going backwards just before he hits the second set of rocks, plus everything else just plain looks better.
I could tell you who everyone else is, but some of you seem to be going by youtube time, which counts up, and some of you are going by the time embedded on the video here, which counts down.
Imz, on my site you can definitely see your ski doing the Marlin.

And on a sad note, -56 is Neil Valiton.

    Yo Powdork,

Nice job filming. Do you have a production company?

The pics on this board speak volumes, but movies are even cooler... (grin)

    What's a production company?
I have a camera(s) and 2 days left on my Adobe Premier Elements 30 day trial.
Someone jump off of something quick!

If you're looking for more vids, i got those
!0 foot cycle at Kirkwood, Waterhouse and Heavenly (out of bounds)
5 foot storm, at Kirkwood (radio tower, west shore, Jims, etc.)

and more (not as good) can be found here

Also, you'll find lots of pics from previous comps, although last year it was hard to get pics while skiing, and it was hard to stop skiing. For 2005 I should have almost every competitor.

Dude, that makes you a production company for two more days! (grin).

I totally hear you about having a tough time stopping to take pics. Going to probably up the ante for next year... let me see if I have a sn# for premier...

Don't worry about the serial number. i just ponied up the $100. I don't think a serial number would work anyway. You have to completely uninstall the trial version before installing the real thing, which is only available in disc rather than download.

I've just uploaded a new version of the video with some minor edits. Mostly it's zoomed in a bit more. Oh, and the nast Adobe logo is gone.
