I saw some folks at Vail last week had these shock-like thingies attached to their boots, and then on to their asses (somehow ).

My snowboarder buddy doesn't believe me, and we are trying to find it on google.

I've searched - ski shocks, ski struts, ski supporters, etc, etc, but can't find a pic of the damn things.

WTF are they, and WTF are they for!?!?!?!?!?!?

I saw them 2 weeks ago as well - the guy actually had grommets through his fartbag to support them I guess that says it all)- I was dumbfounded.

i saw some guy at loveland using one of these last friday.

he had one of his feet amputated, and was on one ski, so I could understand why he had it. (more support)

Haven't seen any of those things for about 15 years. Thought it was passing fad. I'm still waiting for the above-the-knee boots with adjustable shock absorbers.
