Question cutting notches in Bro tails?

I want to try to use the clear topsheet Bro's that cinnepa sent me via splat as a touring setup. Presently there is not a "tail notch" for my skins and I was wondering if I could just cut a notch with a grinder on those?

what do you need a notch for? the skins will stay on just fine without.

I just used a coarse file on my boards for my rat tails - not bros but (soft) metal in there. A grinder might heat things up a lil... with a file it only took a couple minutes.

What kind of skins are you using? There might be alternatives.

If you feel the need (my skins have always held just fine on the Bro's tails), drill a hole thru the tail that has the approx diameter of your skin clip's width, then sawzall to the sides of the hole, rasping out the round corners or sides to square.

Smear epoxy on the edges of the cut and it's done.

I took a Dremel 1/2-inch sanding bit to the tails of my Work Stinx and it holds the skins perfectly.
