    GoLite trail running shoes?

Anyone tried them yet? They look interesting- and perfect for the trails out here in CO. With the huge spiked traction system, I wouldn't mind getting a pair for longer day hikes. Has anyone bought a pair and used them this year? I'm interested to hear what people have to say- besides the reviews on BC.com.

Just got a pair but haven't used them yet. Ton's of rocker under the big toe. Not sure how that will feel running. Not sure I'm a huge fan of their fit system but hard to say until they hit the trail.

    Anyone else?

The rep pushed very hard to get these into our shop, but we wouldn't budge.

I can see the outersole delaming off those spikey midsole sections. Also, there is a ledge under the medial side of your big toe, if you over pronate or walk with your toes pointed out that ledge intensifying the pronation at toe off.

The fit system is...odd. It certainly take up volume and due to the radius of the toe box it makes sense that lifting you up would make them shorter and narrower. The problem is, its not that much of a change and if you have a long AND narrow foot.... well what are ya supposed to do now?

My opinion: I got a pair for free and they are still sitting on the floor in the backroom of the shop. I might take them and try to trash them on the ridge, maybe they'll work great but I don't think so. I would never use them as a serious running shoe. Walking in the woods maybe, but I think they might be a little sketch if you are carrying more than 20 or so pounds. Any other trail shoe, especially montrail, are more fit for light/fast backpacking.

    They are made by Timberland....

Cool looking, but DO NOT run on the road with them. Heard a guy wore through the sole in a week.

Not to mention i dont think i would want to run downhill with the way the sole is.....
