Mongolian Madness - Thursday Dinner at Summit

    Hi y'all!

A few of us are putting together a dinner at Fire & Ice in South Lake.

"Do-it-yourself Mongolian barbeque. Choose meats, veggies, and sauces, and they cook it up on a large griddle. All you can eat."

lph says it's good, so blame him if you get sick.

We're thinking 8pm, since a bunch of people are just headed back from Squaw. Just let us know so we can make a reservation. Check the phonelist for divegirl's number. Nater and I are here right now, so just ask for one of us. Or drop me a PM. My box is nearly full, so using the phone or posting on this thread are better.

I have eaten at the Mongolian BBQ before and all I can say is its excellent food. I wasn't able to fully benefit from the all you can eat part, but otherwise I really liked the place. There is also another one of these in truckee, right at the beginning of the road to Squaw(west river rd.) by McDonalds(deerfield drive) I believe. Anyways to sum it up its good food for the price and it's lots of fun to watch them mix up your dish on a big grill.

After endlessly trying to get through to make a reservation, I finally got one at 9pm just in case. The hostess said it's kinda slow tonight though, so if we go and put our name in it shouldn't be too long. Dumb yes, but that's what I had to deal with.

Nater and I are going there a little early (7:45) to put the name in. So everyone plan on being there at 8. Right now it's me, Telenater, Rehabit, Mrs. Rehabit, lph, wonderwoman, hardrider, and "a friend." In case anyone else wants to come drop me a line by 7:45.

The same "friend" with whom hardrider was last seen before he disappeared from the opening rager?

What a nice dinner. It all started off with a few pitchers for the group and Nater was hittin the Long Islands. Multiple trips were made to the grill, cheesy music was blaring at top volume, and 10 of us were stuffed into a both meant for 5-6. Maggot Orgy!!!! The highlight of the evening was the inebriated smores cookoff. Nothing like alcohol, fire, and marshmallows. Thanks everyone for coming tonight. See you at the Wood tomorrow!!!
