jong mtb question

alright my sram sx4 front der. shifter has broken twice on the same part in the last few months, i feel like its time to upgrade to a better quality. am I just shifting too harshly? What do you guys recommend? i don't mind replacing both, but i am short on cash so if it can be the front that would be best.

Was it the same shifter or was the first one replaced and that one broke too? I've always found anything by SRAM to be wasy durable, especially compared to Shimano junk.

I replaced the one that came on the bike after it broke. Then the one I replaced it with broke. The same piece broke actually. Its the plastic gear that gets rotated when you shift. The piece where the wire and stop connect broke off so the wire came out.

That is what I was going to say. Sram shifts much cleaner than shimano IMO.

The SX stuff is garbage. Like was already said get the X9's or if you don't want to change to 9 speed see if you can get some X7's.
