Question Can I use a Vibram sole in alpine binding with AFD???

I bought some slightly uses Sugar Daddys for € 250 They are fitted with Atomic 614 binder which look alot like these They have AFD which works in the same way as Fritschi's. I normally ski on Garmont adrinalines which have a vibram sole. I know the sole can be changed but that a pain in the ass to do. Will the binding release properly with the Vibram sole????

The question is do they work with the above mentioned bindings which do have a moveable AFD.

    you are fine, keep skiing

or go to a shop with a binding testing machine and get that exact combo tested.

if they also have toe height adjustment, youre probably ok

only way to know for sure is to get them tested as already said

whats scarier? at in alpine binding or the fact that the alpine binding is an atomic

it would probably work based on my experience. i've had very good luck anecdotally with AT boots in P12/Axial bindings

Thanks all! I've looked at it again. They have toe height adjustment and a moveable AFD so it should be fine. Thanks again.

After putting vibrams on my alpine boots, it raised them too high to fit in some bindings. So I sanded them. Fucked me up when I didn't adjust my freeride toe height first day of the season once and did a couple somersaults before they released. If you're as lame as me, you could get hurt.

And this is the man behind the skis? I suppose that kind of technical prowess explains the blem rate Of course when you do manage to get it right the skis are pretty fucking good!

Actually, the binding (lack of) fit was the result of everyone nippin at the bit to get on the hill as fast as possible. Connect the dots....
