I propose a super summit, presidents day weekend 2008, experts only, special swag available to participants....any interest?
Mt. San Jacinto via Tram, ski snow creek...

take the tram to round valley, and then hike to the summit building and camp, next day, drop in....tons-of-fun
I haven't thought about Snow creek in years. Do they still keep mean ass dogs at the water company? I always wanted to climb San J by that route, but had an aversion to having to defend myself against the dogs with an ice ax.
I would be up for such a trip.
real summit, summit...Summit?
I hate to admit it.. but that sounds pretty cool!
Of coarse snow is necessary. I haven't been out that way this year, but I bet conditions sucked all year, hopefully next year will be better. How are conditions with the water district? Back in the 70's they were pretty hard core about climbers trespassing.
that would be amazing..
i'd love to do that, but i'm probably not good enough. yet.
If the summit is "expert only", only highwaystar and blurred will be able to attend.
EDIT....forgot to include harald harbl

Hey Hairy aint seen you around wondering if you are still looking for some china white cause the ship has landed.
we could use some of the white stuff here in tahoe. at this point anykind will do.
i think hairy stopped taking his meds and was finally committed.
i propose this. this is the main objective in this particular area, but within a few miles either way, there is all kinds of potential. i have wanted someone to ski this with forever!

^^^^ where is that and whats it called??? and how much vert? looks pretty fucking incredible
hehehe
i would have to run down to the car to get the book and see what all the specifics are on it. i can tell you it is named after a prolific ungulate that lives in the river bottoms, and it is in the eastern beartooths in montucky
edit: the table summit in the background is castle mountain, and is roughly 10,100, if that gives you reference

uhhhhhh......ok. i got nothing from that ungulate or whatever reference but montana = prolly too far a roadtrip for this married w/ kids guy. go git it
its whitetail peak... it doesn't get skied that often. its a LONG way back, but so $$$$ and you can jump the pass where the photo was taken and hit
this! this is ohhh august i believe, so it is well past prime. that is castle mountain he is looking at.

If location is open to suggestions, an awesome maggot backcountry super summit would be to spend like a week camped around the Conundrum hot springs near Aspen, skiing peaks in the area every day. Best way in would be to drive to Montezuma, ski Conundrum and Castle, and then ski down to the hot springs.
It could last like a week, the cast of characters changing with people coming and going. Drink copiously. Probably around late may depending on the year, maybe later.
