Yeah man! That really strikes a chord with me. I've exercised on and off my whole life and I've learned that when that itch strikes I've gotta scratch that sucker like crazy cuz scratching it will allow me to make big gains without the unpleasantness associated with actually working for it.

3.2 mile run in JPM Challenge: 27 minutes flat. I'm happy working off no training. Feel good today.

College XC buddy of mine ran it in 16:16 per Strava (he was 4th). You got some work to do.

Had a dream last night where I was in a long run in Toronto, where I spend a lot of time for work.i was in the woods and started up a dune on Lake Ontario (do they have dunes??) and looked back to see a bed in wheels chasing me. Hard to interpret!

    Running, Anyone...?

Heading upto Toronto for a friend's wedding next weekend.
I don't think I have time to run around Lake Ontario and being chased by bed in wheels though.
Would've been a story to tell.

Ran Imogene Pass Run yesterday. It was my first time running farther than 13.1 miles and my first time running at such high elevation. (17.1 mile point to point from Ouray to Telluride over 13,110 Imogene pass. 5900' climbing.)

Feel stoked on 3h 24m. I could definitely go faster next year. About 1200 finishers and I was 141st.

A totally awesome event. Everything went super smooth and the weather was absolutely perfect.

That's pretty freaking solid, TT! How you feeling? Little sore in yer bits?

Got 10 glorious miles in this morning on the highline. Leaves are just beginning to turn despite the 90* highs forecast today. It has me looking forward to a couple of those epic snow day runs this winter.

We ride MB on the Bay Trail Hayward/SL Sunday's. The Cal cross country team trains at the same time. They set an incredible pace. Easily 11 mph for 10+ miles. We can barely stay ahead on bikes.

Just started night running last night for the first time since moving two years ago. Im with my dog. Partial gravel, partial trail, and partial narrow paved road. Anybody have recs for visibility on the road and for my own sight on the trail. Even with the half moon, im still feeling around in the woods. Cheers

Cool impressionistic (out of focus) shot of the clouds and foothills from the top of Jackass Hill this morning around sunrise.

I'm lucky. Can head right out the front door and hit these trails in minutes. In the first one you can look down and see my house (Yoga Chick's place is in the distance, far right and near beach, of course). Also note the canyon to the right. This is where I began running back in the 80s- went to the trailhead at bottom on canyon one fine January day and started running. Second one is looking sorta north, towards the Mulholland Dr. (dirt) and the Valley. Notice the next ridge over yonder, I run that, too. In the third you can see downtown Los Angeles, Mexico (Century City is that cluster of building closer in, while Westwood is partially obscured by local flora).
