No Roger, No Rerun, No Rent
I wonder if this has more to do with the Anti-English sentiment that is going across Europe.
But I have to admit we have 2 groups of Brittish kids that spend the whole season here learning to become instructors. And non of them can handle their liquor.

I hadn't noticed the anti-English sentiment. Except in Chamonix...Originally posted by TJ.Brk

I know how some Brits can behave - they deserve the fines.
As for that organisation you have to put up with... I wouldn't like to have to deal with it. Loads of rich kids spending daddy's money to become "instructors". I've met a load of them on the mountain at some of the more "exclusive" French resorts (ie the ones where the ricj kids go...) - they all thought they were the D's B's and I didn't see a single one who could ski. They were really pretty shit at skiing (impressive after going to effectively just a very expensive ski school). Ponced around in some pretty nasty clothes as well.
I am not one to apologuise for my countrymen but I really feel for you there Teej - no one should have to put up with that lot.
Sounds like they need to mellow out with bud for the day, and save the whiskey for the nightly disco pub crawl. Skiing drunk sucks.
i've just been out in one such resort for a few days and saw a few of the people you are refering to. One guy was skiing around on some pretty gaper equipment, no beacon but a shovel/probe very prominent on the outside of his pack where he had also put his poles. In the queue for the chair he was talking himself up to his mates loud enough for everyone nearby to hear. Then when he got on the chair he realised that because he had his poles on his pack he couldn't sit up properly so had to spend the whole ride up bent double with his head in his lap while one of his friends attempted to free his poles. nobhead.Originally posted by Mulletizer
