Alright, I have a design to send. I just need to know if there are enough people to throw in some coin so I don't get hosed. Last year worked well with 25 or so people throwing in 8 or 10 bucks. If I can get that same level of commitment, I'll make the order. If everyone seems apathetic, I'd rather not get pwnt and end up down $200 or whatever the cost was (can't quite remember right now).

DD - Is there a minimum order? Last year we had a ton of extra stickers, so I am guessing a 100 would be enough………..

Bump. I sent a request for a quote for an order of 250 (minimum at customizedstickers.com, the people I went through last year) today. That usually takes 2 or 3 days to hear back. I'll post when I hear. The site says a standard number for 250 is about $260.

Additionally, I just talked to another company (makestickers.com) who charges $45 for 50 3" circles, $60 for 100 3" circles, and $120 for 250 3" circles. I think they said 200 is about $100 but I wouldn't swear on it. At any rate, I know what the quality is like from customizedstickers.com (good to great), but I'm not sure about the makestickers.com stickers.

The questions are: 1) how high of quality do you guys want? and 2) how many do we need?

100 3" stickers have been ordered with express shipping. The cost is $75, so if about 70 bucks could be ponied, that would be terrific.

I FINALLY got in touch with the sticker people. I didn't even try until Wednesday of last week, so my bad for that... In the chaos that is my email mailbox, there was a notice that the image I sent them (the one above) "is not the best quality". Which apparently means "is not good enough quality to print". So no cards have been charged, and the design hasn't been printed.

What that means is that if this is to get done, I need the help of someone with graphics skills, who can save the file as the appropriate extension. Here's what the email said:

The file that you uploaded was not the best quality. While the image
might look fine from a distance, it will appear to have jagged edges
when you look at it closely. To see what we mean, zoom in on the
graphic
until it fills your screen. Typically, a 300 dpi jpg/bmp or a vector
based file (ai, eps, pdf, ppt, cdr) will print well.

BTW - I would suggest getting the file to 600 or even 1200 dpi for better quality. That should make a difference, no?
