    were to move out west...

Well, Ive been thinking about heading west. I am wondering what some good ski towns to live in out west. I really liked tahoe, but it seemed a little to warm. I mean It's great to maybe be able to mtn bike(which I do btw) and ski in the same day. Tahoe would be great if they had snow at lake level for more than a few weeks at a time.

Summit county looks pretty dope from what I have seen. Breckenridge looks like a pretty cool and fun town.

What about the PNW. I hear baker and bachelor totally rip.

I like to mtn bike(Just got a new giant trance....Woot woot!) so there would need to be trails. Ive only been out to tahoe once, that was my only expirience with the west coast.

No, colorado is flat and never gets any good snow. Montana is full fo ignorant rednecks, and none of the ski hills have more then two lifts.

I think southern california would be great for dan khucker.

I can talk a little bit about Bend/Bachelor.

I've been in Bend for a couple years. I like it, but beware Bachelor doesn't have much in the way of steepness if that's what you're into. Still a fun place to ski. Overall I can't complain, tons of outdoor stuff going on nearby, and only somewhat of the small town feel. (75k people in Bend, but still seems small after 6 yrs in Seattle)

I heard tahoe has some great "ALL MOUNTAIN" trails. I like to ride those more than just cross country trails. Is it usually 70 degrees in tahoe in april?

boulder is pretty warm in the summer. so is tahoe. so is bend. if you dont like any warm weather i would say alaska is probly the coldest in the summer. if you you just want cold winters i'd say MN, ME, VT, NH have the coldest resorts for sustained periods with the lowest elevations getting some snow. it can get pretty cold in WY and MT as well.

    That's a lie. It's t-shirt weather already in WY. I recommend Phoenix.

definitely Canada.... MT is way too isolated and the skiing just isn't that good, really a better location if you like cows....

You could move to Jackson and tell Jeremy Jones how much he sideslips and is therefore overrated in person.

it's so much warmer in Boulder than Tahoe; we almost never have snow on the ground. He doesn't wanna come here.
